Why don't celebrities style/decorate their own homes?

Drew, you did a really great job capturing a feeling with this room, as if it were first decorated in the thirties and was well loved as it was gradually updated. It isn’t giving one particular style but more a feeling that I am in a home that has been loved and cared for for a long time. It’s almost as if I can feel the generations of family who have been here. It’s as if you are attuning us to what it has meant to be part of the American community for the last 90 years. Welcomed, at home, storied, loved. Really special and resonant. ❤

People don't usually hang things above a bed in CA for obvious reasons. Also, it could be because I'm not a big green fan, but I predict a re-do on this one sooner than later.

That dresser for $250 is OUTRAGEOUS. It totally makes the room. And painting the ceiling light was totally the right move, because that little strip of green at the top of the wall with the piping detail just pops now ☺️

All of us here wondering how on earth you’re going to pull it off…but then you do and we are all so impressed!! That’s how I am too… my family can’t see the vision in my head when I’m decorating and designing spaces and often midway they’ll be like “ummm no it’s not gonna work… that’s hideous… I hate this or that…”, but when I’m done they’re like “OHHHHHH, that’s what you were doing! Brilliant revision color for the ceiling -- I would trust your aesthetic w my life. Or, my dream home. Y DREW: Your curtains read like TEMPLETON PINK, on my device. Maybe your original impulse (always) was the correct one after all. My grandparents bought a home in 1931. Coved ceiling, kind of Spanish Revival-Welsh Cottage-Craftsman architecture). They had that precise color on their bedroom ceiling for decades (freshly repainted, of course. It was a lovely ceiling to sleep under. You're a good one, Mr. Drew & darling companions, both Justin & cutie woofie.ASTLAKE is one of my top 3 furniture styles of all time. Gorgeous.

The wallpaper gives a cozy, oldstyle feeling. It's perfect, Drew. I was rooting for the other one, but this one is adorable. And, your color selection for the trim is perfecto!!! I adore the black piping. Would it be "welting" on a wall? It's size-detrrminate, so, it's likely "piping". Love it.

This is kinda dumb, but I LOVE your nighttime, then daybreak graphics -- LOVE.

This house looks like something out of the 70s or 80s. Also, I’m getting a vibe like the designers were challenged to use as many different shades of brown as they could. Beige wallpaper, wood paneled chair rails painted taupe, wood and tan accent pieces all over. The worst is those super heavy floral print curtains that match the bedskirt, and then the maroon colored duvet with some kind of fern print and plaid pillowcases. It’s just blah and boring.
